DemeTech Chromic Catgut suture is an absorbable, sterile, surgical suture composed of highly purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from beef and sheep mucosa. The percentage of collagen in the catgut suture often determines the quality of the suture.
DemeTech Chromic Catgut suture is covered in chromic salt to prolong the integrity of the suture strand, minimize tissue reactivity and the chance of adverse reaction.
Characteristics of DemeTech Plain Catgut Sutures include:
