Demetech PGA suture is a synthetic, absorbable, sterile, surgical suture composed of copolymers made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated to allow for easy passage through tissue with minimal drag.
Clinical trials have shown that 75% of the initial tensile remained after 2weeks and 25% of the linear tensile strength remained after 4weeks.
